Depth of Field Critque

Elvis Yang: I like the colors and the way the sunshine brightens the background of the picture, illuminating the creases and curves in the branch.
Claire Strobach: I love the way the colors pop as you look at this picture, evoking a feeling that seems like spring or summer, not the cold winter we are actually experiencing.
Maddi Rotunda: This photo is extremely raw and eerie, which draws me in. The cracks look like flesh coming off of bone in an enchantingly creepy way.
Gillian Morrissey: This photo captures the new age and old age portrait photograph, which intrigues me. The colors brightening the photograph too, contrasting with the black and white on the photo.
Jackson Miles: This photo evokes some kind of emotion in me. Although I may know this man is not working for this grain or homeless, he could be, and that sparks a feeling inside of me that I got only with this photograph.

Depth of Field - Discovering the Different Sides of Dad

This portfolio of images expresses the all the different sides of my complex father shown through the exclect items found in his barn. My photographs present the subject matter to the viewer as basic items in a barn turned into a story of who my dad is. I paid close attention to lighting, how the images were composed and my depth of focus when I was taking these images. These images are intended to tell the story of who my dad is through simplistic items that usually mean nothing, prompting the viewers to see their own everyday items in a new light.
